Pinot grigio is the Italian name for Pinot Gris, a white mutation of the Pinot family. It shares its genetic fingerprint with Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and several other varieties. The term Pinot Grigio has become strongly associated with light bodies wines, particularly in northern Italy. This particular Pinot Grigio from Pirovano is bright straw-yellow with fresh hints of pineapple and banana. It has a great balance on the palate, good salinity and have a pleasant aftertaste of white fruit.
